İNSANLIĞIN GIDA SORUNU VE BİYOLOJİK ÇEŞİTLİLİK

Yıl 2017, Cilt: 19 Sayı: 2, 13 - 26, 29.12.2017

Öz

Son birkaç on yılda görülen biyolojik çeşitlilikteki dramatik azalma insanlığın geleceğini tehdit eder duruma gelmiştir.

FOOD PROBLEM OF HUMANITY AND BIODIVERSITY

Yıl 2017, Cilt: 19 Sayı: 2, 13 - 26, 29.12.2017

Öz

Dramatic decrease of biodiversity in last decades threatens the future of humanity. Many publications, reports and researches on the subject clearly show this reality. Despite increasing consciousness about the issue at the national and international level, measures taken by governments and society are insufficient compare to speed of biodiversity loss. In this context, at the crossroads of environmental issues, such as climate change, deforestation, overpopulation and so on, as a key problem, the loss of biodiversity will be evaluated with the relations to other issues, especially as food and agricultural sustainability issue and as an issue for the future of humanity. Opportunities provided by biodiversity in the context of food security and threats as a result of biodiversity loss will be analyzed, in the framework of research literature of field, as a feeding problem of increasing human population.
