Bu araştırma, AFEC'in SSMP
teknolojisinin benimsenmesindeki rolünü analiz etmek için Nepal'in Ramechap ve
Dolakha ilçelerinde gerçekleştirildi. Toplam 40 örnek, 4 VDC'den, yani
Sindrawati'den ve Chisapani Namdu, Puranogaun'dan rasgele toplanmıştır. 2
Ortalama benimseme
düzeyi AFEC'li VDC'lerde (yüzde 43.69 HH), AFEC olmayan VDC'ye (yüzde 11.78)
göre anlamlı derecede yüksektir. Logit regresyon modeline göre HH geliştirme
eğitimi ve AFEC varlığı SSMP teknolojisinin benimsenmesinin belirlenmesinde
istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bulunmuştur.

Abstract

This
research was conducted in Ramechap and Dolakha district of Nepal to analyze the
role of AFEC in SSMP technology adoption. A total of 120 samples were collected
randomly from 4 VDCs i.e Sindrawati, and Chisapani Namdu, Puranogaun. Out of
these 4 VDC in 2 VDC, AFEC was formed. Both qualitative and quantitative
information were collected using semi-structured questionnaire by house hold
survey, key informant interview and focus group discussion. From the study it
was revealed that effectiveness of these committee
s in participatory
planning, resource mobilization and agriculture service provision was highly
significant. Participation of farmers in local level planning was significantly
higher in VDC with AFEC (73.3 percent) than in VDCs without AFEC (43.3
percent). Farmers with AFEC were getting technical service easily
with the index value of 2.84 as compared to
farmers without AFEC. The mean level of adoption was significantly higher in
VDCs with AFEC (43.69 percent HH) than in VDC without AFEC (11.78 percent
HH).  According to Logit regression
model, training education of HH head and presence of AFEC were found to be
statistically significant in determining the adoption of SSMP technology.
