ABUTMENT VİDA KIRIĞI VAKALARINA ALTERNATİF BİR TEDAVİ YÖNTEMİ: OLGU RAPORU

Öz

Abutment vida kırığı, implantlarda en sık karşılaşılan komplikasyonlardan biri olup, kırık vidanın çıkartılması bazı durumlarda mümkün olmamakta, bu yüzden alternatif çözüm arayışına gidilebilmektedir. Yakın Doğu Üniversitesi Diş Hekimliği Fakültesi’ne 55 yaşındaki hasta 2 adet implant üzerine uygulanmış sabit protezindeki sallanma şikayeti ile başvurmuştur. Hastaya yapılan detaylı klinik ve radyografik muayene sonucunda, sağ maksiller premolar bölgedesindeki implantta vida kırığı tespit edilmiştir. Kırık vida parçası çıkartılmaya çalışmış ancak, çıkartılamamıştır. Bu nedenle mevcut olan implant kullanılarak alternatif bir tedavi planı oluşturulmuştur. Uygulanmış olan tedavi, klinisyen ve hasta açısından tatmin edici sonuçlar vermiş olup, 15 aylık takip sürecinde herhangi bir şikayetle karşılaşılmamış, alt yapı, implant ve üstyapı arasında herhangi bir stabilizasyon problemine rastlanmamıştır.

AN ALTERNATIVE TREATMENT OPTION FOR A SCREW-FRACTURED IMPLANT: A CLINICAL REPORT

Öz

Abutment screw fracture is one of the common complications encountered in implants. In some cases removal of the fractured screw may not possible and alternative solutions should be considered.

A 55-year-old patient presented to NEU Faculty of Dentistry with a complaint of screw loosening in his two-implant supported FPD. After the clinical and radiographic examinations a screw fracture was detected in the implant placed in maxillary right premolar region. The fractured screw was tried to retrieve; however the attempt was resulted unsuccessfully. Therefore an alternative treatment with using the current implant was planned. The result was found to be satisfactory for both patient and the clinician. After a 15-mounth follow-up, continued stabilization of the dowel, implant and superstructure was observed.
