Abstract

Hydatid cyst is a parasitic infection caused by Echinococcus granulosus larvae. Although liver and lung involvement is common, cranial involvement is very rare. Surgical removal of hydatid cysts without rupture is the main treatment. Therefore, preoperative diagnosis is very important.

ÖZ

Özet: Kist hidatik Echinococcus
granulosus larvalarının neden olduğu paraziter bir enfeksiyondur. Karaciğer ve
akciğer tutulumu daha yaygın olup kranial tutulum oldukça nadirdir. Kist
hidatiklerin rüptüre olmadan cerrahi olarak çıkarılması temel tedavidir. Bu
nedenle preoperatif tanı oldukça önemlidir.
