Rehabilitation of an Angled Implant with an Angled Multi-unit Abutment: A Case Report

Abstract

The aim of this case report was to describe the treatment options for angled implants for various reasons. Although implant treatment is current and successful treatment option, ideal placement may not always be possible due to anatomy. Implants are placed at an angle in cases where surgical techniques cannot be used
due to systemic disorders, economic and social reasons. In such cases; angled, custom, ti-base or multi-unit abutments are preferred for prosthetic treatment. In this case report, a diagnostic model was obtained after clinical and radiographic examination for the restoration of an inclined implant placed at mandibula. By evaluating the position of the implant and the occlusion, the restoration was completed with a 17° angled multi-unit abutment to produce a good gingival fit and a cleanable restoration.

Açılı Konumlandırılmış İmplantın Açılı Multi-unit Dayanak ile Rehabilitasyonu: Olgu Sunumu

Abstract

Bu olgu sunumunun amacı çeşitli nedenlerle eğimli yerleştirilmiş implantların tedavi seçeneklerini gözden geçirmektir. İmplant tedavisi güncel ve başarılı bir tedavi seçeneği olmasına karşın anatomik engellemeler nedeniyle her zaman implantların okluzal düzleme dik yerleştirilmesi mümkün olmayabilir. Sistemik rahatsızlıklar, ekonomik veya sosyal nedenlerden dolayı ileri cerrahi tekniklerin kullanılamadığı durumlarda implantların açılı yerleştirilmesi gerekebilir. Açılı yerleştirilmiş implantların varlığında protetik tedavi için açılı, kişisel (custom), hibrit (ti-base) ya da multi-unit dayanak sistemleri tercih edilebilmektedir. Bu olgu sunumunda mandibula posterior bölgede eğimli yerleştirilmiş implantın restorasyonu için kliniğimize başvuran hastanın klinik ve radyografik muayenesi yapılmış ve tanı modeli elde edilmiştir. İmplantın arktaki konumu ve okluzyon değerlendirilerek, iyi bir diş eti uyumu ve temizlenebilir bir restorasyon üretebilmek için 17° açılı multi-unit dayanak ile restorasyon tamamlanmıştır.
