Abstract

Today, increasing aesthetic expectations is one of the most important problems that causes patients to consult a dentist. In order to be successful in aesthetic approaches, it is a must for the clinician to be able to perform dental and facial analysis of the patient. Today, "Digital Smile Design" programs have been developed to be used for this purpose. These programs enable aesthetic analysis of periodontal tissue and teeth based on some reference points of the face and teeth on digital photographs taken from individuals, and as a result, obtain an aesthetic smile. It also helps plan the treatment approach closest to the target, as it offers the physician numerous solution possibilities on how the smile can be designed. In this review, the aesthetic parameters used in digital smile design programs in aesthetic dentistry and the effects of these parameters on smile design will be discussed.

Dijital Gülüş Tasarımı

Abstract

Günümüzde estetik beklentilerin artması hastaların diş hekimine başvurmasına neden olan en önemli problemlerden biridir. Estetik yaklaşımlarda başarılı olmak için klinisyenin hastanın dental ve fasiyal analizini yapabilmesi bir zorunluluktur. Bu amaçla kullanılmak üzere günümüzde “Dijital Gülüş Tasarımı” programları geliştirilmiştir. Bu programlar bireylerden alınan dijital fotoğrafların üzerinde yüzün ve dişlerin bazı referans noktaları esas alınarak periodontal doku ve dişlerin estetik analizinin yapılmasına ve bunun sonucunda estetik bir gülüşün elde edilmesine imkan sağlamaktadır. Ayrıca, hekime gülümsemenin nasıl tasarlanabileceğine dair çok sayıda çözüm olasılığını sunduğundan hedefe en yakın tedavi yaklaşımının planlanmasına da yardımcı olur. Bu derlemede, estetik diş hekimliğinde dijital gülüş tasarımı programlarında kullanılan estetik parametreler ve bu parametrelerin gülüş tasarımına etkileri tartışılacaktır.
