Hemşirelerin Bireysel Yenilikçilik Düzeylerinin İncelenmesi

Abstract

Bu çalışma, bir ilin kamu ve üniversite hastanesinde görev yapan hemşirelerin bireysel yenilikçilik düzeylerini ve bu düzeyleri etkileyen etmenleri incelemek amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Tanımlayıcı-kesitsel türdeki bu çalışmanın evrenini 10 Ekim 2019-9 Mart 2020 tarihlerinde bir ilin kamu ve üniversite hastanesinde görev yapan hemşireler (n=384) oluşturmuştur. Çalışmaya katılmayı kabul eden 186 hemşire araştırma kapsamına dahil edilmiştir. Çalışmada “Hemşire Tanıtım Formu” ve “Bireysel Yenilikçilik Ölçeği (BYÖ)” kullanılarak veriler elde edilmiştir. Veriler tanımlayıcı istatistikler ve Student t-testi ve One Way ANOVA testi ile analiz edilmiştir. Çalışmanın yürütülebilmesi için etik kuruldan, kurumlardan yazılı izin ve hemşirelerden sözlü ve yazılı onam alınmıştır. Çalışmaya katılan hemşirelerin %86,6’sı kadın, %52,2’si lisans mezunu olup yaş ortalaması 30,46±8,09 yıldır. Hemşirelerin %82,8’inin mesleğini severek yerine getirdiği, %84,9’unun mesleğinde güncel olayları izlediği, %80,1’inin mesleği ile ilgili bilimsel etkinliklere/toplantılara katıldığı saptanmıştır. Hemşirelerin BYÖ toplam puan ortalaması 65,90±8,82 (en düşük:33, en yüksek:88) olarak bulunmuştur. Bu sonuca göre, çalışmaya katılan hemşirelerin yenilikçilik bakımından “sorgulayıcı” düzeyde kaldıkları belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca, hemşirelerden mesleğini severek yapanlarda, mesleğinde güncel olayları izleyenlerde, mesleği ile ilgili bilimsel etkinliklere/toplantılara katılanlarda Bireysel Yenilikçilik Ölçeği puan ortalamalarının anlamlı olarak daha yüksek olduğu saptanmıştır (p<0,05).

Çalışmanın gerçekleştirilmesi için ölçeği oluşturan araştırmacıdan e-mail yoluyla yazılı izin alınmıştır. Çalışmanın uygulanabilmesi için bir üniversitenin Girişimsel Olmayan Araştırmalar Etik Kurulu’ndan (02.07.2019 tarihli ve 81829502.903/69 karar numaralı), ayrıca çalışmanın gerçekleştirildiği hastane yönetimlerinden de yazılı izin alınmıştır. Hemşirelerden sözlü ve yazılı onam alınmıştır. Bu çalışma Helsinki Bildirgesi’nin etik kurallarına uygun bir şekilde yürütülmüştür.

Examination of Nurses’ Individual Innovativeness Levels

Abstract

This study was carried out to examine the individual innovativeness levels of nurses working in public and university hospital of a province and the factors influencing these levels. The population of this descriptive & cross-sectional study composed of nurses (n=384) working in public and university hospital of a province between October 10, 2019-March 9, 2020. A total of 186 nurses who agreed to participate in the study were included in the sample. In the study, data were obtained using the “Nurse Introduction Form” and the “Individual Innovativeness Scale (IIS)”. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, Student’s t-test, One Way ANOVA test. Written permission was obtained from the ethics committee, institutions, and verbal and written consent was obtained from the nurses to conduct the study. The mean age of nurses participating in the study was 30.46±8.09 years, 86.6% of them were women and 52.2% of them were undergraduates. It was stated that 82.8% of nurses love their profession, 84.9% follow current events in their profession, and 80.1% participate in scientific events/meetings related to their profession. The total IIS score mean of nurses was found to be 65.90±8.82 (min: 33, max: 88). According to this result, it was determined that the nurses participating in the study remained at the “Early Majority” level in terms of innovativeness. Also, it was determined that the Individual Innovativeness Scale score mean of nurses who love their profession, follow current events in their profession, and participate in scientific events/meetings related to their profession are significantly higher (p<0.05).
