Abstract

Araştırma, DEHB tanısı alan çocuklarda fosfatidilserin etkisinin incelenmesi amacı ile yapılmıştır. Araştırma, gıda katkı maddeleriyle yapılacak diyet çalışmaları kapsamında nicel yöntem kullanılarak yazılmıştır. Araştırmanın evreni, gönüllü katılım sağlayan DEHB tanısı almış 6-13 yaş arasındaki çocuklardan oluşmaktadır. Örneklem grubu 6 kız, 24 erkek olmak üzere 30 çocuktan oluşmaktadır. Araştırma verileri; Kişisel Anket Formu ve Conner's Ana Baba Derecelendirme Ölçeği kullanılarak elde edilmiştir. Çalışmadaki veriler bilgisayar ortamına aktarılarak SPSS-16 programında iki uçlu t-testi (Bağımlı Örneklem t-Testi) tekniği kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Çalışmamızda elde edilen bulgular literatürdeki diğer çalışmalarla büyük oranda paralellik göstermektedir. Fosfatidilserin gıda takviyesi öncesi uygulanan Conner's Ana Baba Derecelendirme Ölçeği alt ölçeklerinde alınan puan dağılımları incelendiğinde; "Davranım Sorunu" (11,63 karşılık 4,93, p<0.001), "Ataklık/Hiperaktivite" (7,80 karşılık 4,30, p<0.001), Öğrenme Sorunu"(7,73 karşılık 3,46, p<0.001), "Kaygı" (10,43 karşılık 4,83, p<0.001), ve "Psikosomatik"(2,70 karşılık 1,06, p<0.001) alt ölçeklerinde Fosfatidilserin takviyesi sonrasında aldıkları puanları ile karşılaştırıldığında yüksek oranda düşüşün olması istatiksel olarak anlamlı bulunmuştur. Conner's Ana Baba Derecelendirme Ölçeği toplam puanları incelendiğinde ise, fosfatidilserin takviyesi almadan önce ve aldıktan sonraki puan dağılımları karşılaştırıldığında yüksek oranda puan düşüşleri istatiksel olarak anlamlı bulunmuştur (50,61 karşılık 24,00, p<0.001). Çalışmamıza göre fosfatidilserin takviyesi DEHB semptomlarını azalttığı görülmektedir. Araştırma bulguları literatür doğrultusunda tartışılmış ve önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

Abstract

The study has been made for examining the effects of phosphatidylserine on children who have ADHD. The study have been written by using quantitative method in the context of diet studies to be done with food supplement. The sample of this study consisted by 6-13 aged children with ADHD diagnosis. The sample is consisted by 30 children, 6 of them are girls and 24 of them are boys. The data were obtained by using Personel Survey Form and Conners’ Parent Rating Scale. The data in the study was transferred to SPSS-16 statistic programme and analyzed by using two-tailed t-test (Paired Samples t Test). The findings of our study Show that a quite similarity with the other studies in literature. When the points distributions are taken from the subscales of Conners’ Parent Rating Scale which is applied before phosphatidylserine supplemention; the great decrease in the all scores they have taken after phosphatidylserine supplemention in “Behavioral Problem” (11,63 vs 4,93, p<0.001), “Impetuosity/Hyperactivity” (7,80 vs 4,30, p<0.001), “Learning Disabilty” (7,73 vs 3,46, p<0.001) and “Anxiety"(10,43 vs 4,83, p<0.001), and "Psychosomatic” (2,70 vs 1,06, p<0.001). And when the total scores of Conners’ Parent Rating Scale are examined; the scores they have taken after phosphatidylserine supplemention are low compared to before they have taken it, this has found statisticly significant (50,61 vs 24,00, p<0.001). According to our study phosphatidylserine supplement reduces ADHD nearly all symptoms. The findings of the study were discussed in perspective of literature and some suggestions have been given.
