SOME MEDICINAL AND AROMATIC PLANTS USED AS FOLK MEDICINE FOR GASTROINTESTINAL SYSTEM DISEASES IN EUROPEAN TURKEY

Abstract

Most of the medicinal and aromatic
plants have been used for gastrointestinal system diseases such as
constipation, gallstone and stomach aches as folk medicine. In according to
this, this paper includes some traditional medicinal plants which are used for
gastrointestinal system diseases in European Turkey. To understand how the
medicinal plants used as folk medicines: photographs of the plants, locations
of them in European Turkey, plant parts used for treatment, preparations,
therapeutic effects and using dosages are given in the present study.
