Abstract

In the book consisting of articles titled “Rethinking the City in the Context of Urban Rights”, designed to be published by the Consumer Rights Association and edited by Hakan Reyhan and Özkan Leblebici, the phenomenon of urbanization is explained in the historical development process, while current city and urbanization problems are discussed in terms of urban rights and urbanization It is explained that the scope of urban rights should be considered more broadly, considering that the living people are also consumers. The study also states that at the point the world is at today, cities will continue to maintain their importance with their increasing population and place in production organization, therefore a conceptual analysis of urban space needs to be made, and addressing the city in all its dimensions requires more comprehensive and interdisciplinary studies. In addition, it is stated that such studies should be carried out with a scientific and multi-faceted approach by including the citizens in the process, and this will expand the scope of the rights of the citizens, and therefore, the development of democratic representation in local governments will also help the development of democratic perception in general, therefore it is important for both the citizens and the local It is argued that mutual responsibilities fall on central governments.

Kitap İncelemesi: “Kentli Hakları Bağlamında Kenti Yeniden Düşünmek”

Abstract

Tüketici Hakları Derneği tarafından yayımı tasarlanan ve editörlüğünü Hakan Reyhan ve Özkan Leblebici’nin yapmış olduğu “Kentli Hakları Bağlamında Kenti Yeniden Düşünmek” başlıklı kitap, 2013 yılında yayımlanmış olup, 307 sayfa ve 8 bölümden oluşmaktadır. Makalelerden oluşan kitapta özetle, kentleşme olgusu tarihsel gelişim süreci içerisinde anlatılırken, güncel kent ve kentleşme sorunları da kentli hakları açısından ele alınmıştır. Bu kapsamda; kentlilik, kent hakkının kavramsal ve hukuki boyutları, kentsel mücadelede kentteki hakların önce kentli haklarına sonra da kent hakkına dönüşümü, kentsel yaşamın her aşamasında oluşan ve değişim gösteren kent kültürü, kentli ve tüketici hakları boyutuyla Bolu uygulama örnekleri, insan odaklı kentsel dönüşüm ve mevcut kentsel dönüşüm uygulamaları, afet olgusunun kentli hakları açısından boyutları, yerel yönetimlerde analitik bütçe uygulamaları, yeni kamu mali sisteminin analizi, küreselleşme, küresel kentlerde yoksulluk ve bunların yarattığı hak ihlalleri farklı yazar ve akademisyenler tarafından kaleme alınmıştır.
