NATURENGS is a double-blind peer-reviewed, open-access international journal which will publish electronically two times in a year by the Malatya Turgut Ozal University from June 2020. The journal accepts only English language manuscripts.
The journal will publish original research papers in the fields of applied engineering sciences and technology such as Physics, Biology, Mathematics, Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Computer Science and Informatics, Electrical and Electronical Engineering, Materials Sciences and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Sciences and Engineering, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, Mining Engineering, Industrial Engineering and so on.
All papers will be evaluated by any plagiarism detection software before being sent to the referees. The peer-review process is completed in two months; however, this process may be longer depending on the manuscript length and required changes. The manuscripts considered unacceptable by reviewers will not be published. The accepted manuscripts are immediately published online in journal web site.
NATURENGS is an Open Access journal and does not charge any printing costs from authors, during article delivery, assessment and printing stages.
The responsibility of the articles under consideration and published is under the responsibility of the author(s). The articles published in the journal do not reflect the opinion of Malatya Turgut Özal University.

The scope of the NATURENGS comprises such as original research on all aspects of basic science, engineering and technology. Original research results and scientific reviews in various fields of science and technology are considered for publication. NATURENGS will publish electronically only and the online version is available for free. The journal gives priority to the publication of research articles that reflect the original research findings and results in engineering sciences and contribute to science. The journal aims to focus on interdisciplinary methods and technologies.

The publication language of the journal is English. Papers are accepted for publication on the understanding that they have not been published and are not going to be considered for publication elsewhere. Authors should certify that neither the manuscript nor its main contents have already been published or submitted for publication in another journal. The copyright agreement form must be signed by the corresponding author on behalf of all authors and must accompany all papers submitted. Please see the form for additional copyright details.
Manuscripts with a suitable balance of practice and theory are preferred. A review article is expected to give in-depth information and a satisfying evaluation of a specific scientific or technological subject, supported with an extensive list of sources.
Manuscripts may be rejected without peer review by the editor-in-chief if they do not comply with the instructions to authors or if they are beyond the scope of the journal. After a manuscript has been accepted for publication, i.e. after referee-recommended revisions are complete, the author will not be permitted to make any changes that constitute departures from the manuscript that was accepted by the editor. Before publication, the galley proofs are always sent to the authors for corrections.
The use of someone else’s ideas or words in their original form or slightly changed without a proper citation is considered plagiarism and will not be tolerated. Even if a citation is given, if quotation marks are not placed around words taken directly from another author’s work, the author is still guilty of plagiarism. Reuse of the author’s own previously published words, with or without a citation, is regarded as self-plagiarism. All manuscripts received are submitted to any plagiarism checking system, which compares the content of the manuscript with a vast database of web pages and academic publications. Manuscripts judged to be plagiarised or self-plagiarized, based on any plagiarism checking system report or any other source of information, will not be considered for publication. 

Author Guidelines

All manuscripts must be submitted online from the system by registering. All submitted papers will be pre-screened by the Editor to determine suitability for further review (e.g. correct format, area of interest). Papers deemed suitable will be peer-reviewed by at least two reviewers. We use a double-blind peer reviewer system.
Submitted articles cannot have been previously published, nor be forthcoming in an archival journal or book. NATURENGS will not be held legally responsible if authors fail to follow this condition.
The article should be prepared using the template file below. Along with the article, the Copyright and Article information form must be filled and uploaded to the system.

General Format
Authors should consider the following sections provide guidelines on how to prepare and compose your manuscript. Please read these standards to ensure a smooth peer-review and production process.
Contributions to the NATURENGS will be published in English, and manuscripts must be submitted in that language. Concise English without jargon should be used. Repetitive use of long sentences and passive voice should be avoided. Either British or American spelling is acceptable but must be consistent throughout.
We request to submit an article in Microsoft Word format (.DOC) or LATEX. If you are using another word processor please save the final version of the manuscript (using 'Save As' option of the File menu) as a Word document. In this case please double-check that the saved file can be opened in Microsoft Word. We cannot accept PDF or any other text files.
The manuscript must be single-spaced in Times New Roman font 12-point size. Leave a line space between paragraphs and sections. All pages should be numbered consecutively in the bottom center, beginning with the title page. A 2.5 cm margin on both sides of the page is desirable.
Special words do not underline, use italics instead. Weights and measures must be expressed in the SI unit (metric) system and temperatures in the Celsius (centigrade) scale.
Tables, single-spaced, and should be as few and as simple as is feasible. Each table should be on a separate sheet.
Figures and photographs should be carefully prepared so that a clear image can be printed.
Authors mustn't declare any financial support or relationships that may pose a conflict of interest.
Standard articles, describing advances in experimental studies and reporting new analytical or numerical solutions directly related to engineering problems, should be divided into logically ordered and numbered sections and should not exceed 5000 words (excluding references).
The manuscript should be organized in the following sequence: Title page, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Material and Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgments (funding and grant-awarding bodies), References, Tables and Figures.
This is the numbered part of the manuscript which may include the parts: 1. Introduction, 2. Material and Methods, 3. Results and Discussion, 4. Conclusion.
The text may include subheadings with the following numbering style (1.1, 1.2,…etc.).
One line after each section should be left and text should be started leaving one line after section headings.

1. Title page
The title page should be included in the following items;
Title should be written using bold type and Times New Roman font size 14 with lower case letters and center-aligned. Abbreviations are not permitted in the title. The title should be concise and informative, yet the number of words in the title should be limited to those words that highlight the significant content of the article.
Leaving one line after title, name(s) of the author(s) should be written using bold type Times New Roman font size 11 with capital letters for the first letters of the words with center-aligned, adding superscript numbers (i.e. 1, 2, 3) at the end of the last name of each author. The corresponding author should be indicated with an asterisk.
Leaving one line after the name(s) of the author(s), their affiliations and postal address should be written using Times New Roman font size 10 with capital letters for the first letters of the words with left alignment. The ORCID number of all authors and corresponding author e-mail addresses should be also given for in affiliation line.

2. Abstract and Keywords
The Abstract and Keywords should be written using Times New Roman font size 10 and justified. The abstract should be one paragraph without sections and should not exceed 300 words, following the title page. The abstract should be free of references and abbreviations. The abstract should summarize pertinent results in a brief but understandable form.
Leaving one line after Abstract, up to 4-5 keywords that best describe the content of the research should be listed. The term "Keywords" should appear in bold followed by a colon. The first letter of each keyword is capitalized and keywords are separated by comma.

3.Introduction
The introduction should put forth the related background to the study, explain why the study was done and specifies the hypotheses to be tested. Extensive discussion of relevant literature should be included in the discussion of results, not in the introduction.

4. Material and Methods
The materials and methods should present essential details, experimental design and statistical analysis. A clear description or original reference is required for all biological, analytical, and statistical procedures used in the study. All modifications of procedures must be explained. Treatments and measurements should be described clearly. Statistical models and methods to analyze should be described clearly and fully. If an ethics committee permission is required for the study, the ethics commission date-number should be indicated.

5. Results and Discussion
The results should present the findings of the study. The corresponding tables and pictures should be provided in this section. However, the same data must not be displayed in two ways, e.g. graphically and in a table. The results of the study should be presented in table and data means (numbers) should not be repeated broadly in the text. The results and discussion should be written in the past tense.

6. Conclusion
This section should summarize the main findings and also link to the recommendations. Previous findings in the discussion should not be repeated, the author's results in the broader context of other studies on the subject interpreting them with a minimum of speculation. The conclusion should integrate with the research findings of other studies to provide the readers with a broad base for understanding whether the hypotheses tested were accepted or rejected.

7. Conflict of Interest
No conflict of interest was declared by the authors.

8. Acknowledgments (optional)
If any support is given to the work by an institution or a person, it should be indicated as acknowledgment in the manuscript. The names of funding organizations and grant-awarding bodies should be written in full. Acknowledgments should be kept as short as possible, and placed after the text.



9. References
The references should only include works that are cited in the article and that are published or accepted for publication. Unpublished results and information obtained through articles and personal communications are not recommended for use as the reference. Printed stage in the resources, if any, should be given a DOI number.
Literature references are to be numbered consecutively and should be grouped at the end of the paper under the heading “References”. Citations in the text should be identified by numbers in square brackets. The list of references at the end of the paper should be given in order of their first appearance in the text. All authors should be included in reference lists unless there are 10 or more, in which case only the first 10 should be given, followed by ‘et al.’. Do not use individual sets of square brackets for citation numbers that appear together, e.g., [2,3,5–9], not [2], [3], [5]–[9]. Do not include personal communications, unpublished data, websites, or other unpublished materials as references, although such material may be inserted (in parentheses) in the text.
References should be formatted as follows (please note the punctuation and capitalization):

10. Figures and Tables
All illustrations (photographs, drawings, graphs, etc.), not including tables, must be labeled “Figure.” Figures and tables must be submitted in the manuscript. All tables and figures must have a caption and/or legend and be numbered (e.g., Table 1, Figure 2).
Tables and figures should be embedded in proper places in the text. The table and figure captions are to be written in Times New Roman font size 10. Any previously published material should be identified by giving the source in the form of a reference at the end of the captions.
The content of the tables and figures should be in a Times New Roman font size 10. For tables and figures, the maximum width and height is 14 cm and 20 cm, respectively. Photos or pictures in the figures should have a minimum resolution of 300 dpi. The preferred file type for figures is JPEG, TIFF, or PPT. Unnecessary backgrounds and grid and vertical lines should be removed from graphs. Each axis should have a description and a unit. For bar charts, different fill patterns may be used if needed (black, white, gray, and stripes). Figure caption should be prepared at the bottom of the figure. Figure parts are to be denoted by lowercase letters (a, b, c …). Do not include titles or captions within your figures.
Any abbreviation used in a table must be defined in that table. Tables should be single-spaced with each table on a separate sheet. All tables should be cited in the text. The title of the table continues on the same line with only the first letter capitalized. For numerals less than 1, a zero should be inserted to the left of the decimal point, and if possible, columns should be center- aligned. If there are no data for a particular entry, a hyphen should be inserted. If an explanation is necessary, an abbreviation can be used in the body of the table and it should be explained clearly in the footnotes. The table caption should be prepared in the upper of the table.

11. Nomenclature, Symbols and Abbreviations
In general, the recommendations of the SI units should be followed. Symbols, formulas and equations should be written with great care, capitals and lower case letters being distinguished where necessary. Mathematical expressions should be written by an equation editor (Word format) in 9 point size. Indices font should be 8 point size. Each equation in the text should be numbered in parenthesis ( ). Abbreviations require definition when first used.

Responsibilities of Authors
The authors of the original research paper should present the importance of the work being done. The basic data should be shown correctly in the article. The article should contain enough detail and references to allow others to replicate the work. Dishonesty or knowingly false statements constitute unethical behavior and are unacceptable.
Authors may be asked to provide raw data of their work with the article for editorial review, and they must be prepared to make the data available to the public if applicable.
Authors will submit original or review articles and cite other works as appropriate. Publications that are effective in determining the nature of the article should also be mentioned.
In general, articles describing the same research should not be published in more than one journal. Submitting the same article to more than one journal constitutes unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable. Articles published elsewhere as copyrighted material may not be submitted.
Anyone who has made significant contributions should be listed as a co-author. The corresponding author ensures that all contributing co-authors are present and that no persons who have never joined the list of authors are added. The corresponding author also confirms that all co-authors approve the final version of the article and agree to its submission for publication.
When the author discovers that there has been a significant error or inaccuracy in his published work, he is under the obligation to notify the journal editor or publisher immediately and to cooperate with the editor to withdraw or correct the article.
Issues to be Considered by The Authors
Ensure that all submitted research is original, fully referenced and that all authors are properly represented.
Provide accurate contact information for a designated author, who is deemed to be fully responsible for the authorship of the article and all communications relating to the moral status and authenticity of the article.
Provide the source of all data and third-party material, including previously unpublished work by the authors. Any elements that may compromise the authenticity of the presentation should be explicitly avoided and / or discussed with the editor's office in the first place.
Identify the contribution of any third party they intend to include in their article and obtain written permission from the respective copyright holders for reuse in each case. These permissions must be submitted when the article is accepted or when minor changes require acceptance.
Co-operate if articles found to be unethical, misleading or harmful are published incorrectly, along with retraction. Stay in good contact with the editor(s), publisher and other authors.
Please also consider the following principles.
1. The journal publishes scientific articles in the research and review category, which are original written in the English language. The original articles are expected to have qualities such as the knowledge produced is new, to suggest a new method, or to give a new dimension to the knowledge that existed before.
2. In our journal, letters to the editor, discussions and case presentations are not included in the type of publications.
3. Articles that are suitable for evaluation in terms of writing and publishing principles are directed to referees. At least two referees are appointed for the evaluation of each article that passes the approval of the editor.
4. In our journal, blind refereeing is applied in article evaluations. The names of the referees who evaluate the articles are not reported to the authors. Referees are also allowed to evaluate articles without seeing the names of the authors.
5. Articles submitted to referees are expected to be evaluated within 15 days. In case this period is exceeded, the editor gives an additional 15 days by reminding the referee. If this period is exceeded, the editor appoints a new referee and withdraws the request from the old referee.
6. The article that receives at least two positive referee reports from the article evaluation is entitled to be published. If the referee receives a positive and negative umpire report, the post is sent to two more umpires. The final decision on the article is made by the editors.
7. The decision of acceptance and rejection of the article is made by the editors. A major (resubmit for evaluation) or minor (revision required) revision decision is made to develop articles that are not deemed sufficient by the recommendations of the referees. Articles that do not reach the desired level and are not considered scientifically sufficient are rejected.
8. The required corrections must be made within 20 days at the latest. Otherwise, the article is rejected.
9. Articles submitted for publication must not be published anywhere or submitted to any journal for publication.
10. All responsibility for the articles rests with the respective authors. Articles must be prepared by an internationally recognized code of science ethics by checking with plagiarism detection software to check their authenticity before being submitted. The plagiarism detection rate is expected to not exceed 25%. Where necessary, a copy of the Ethics Committee report should be included.
11. Articles submitted for publication in our journal should be prepared according to the journal article writing format. Otherwise, the article is rejected.
12. Articles submitted to NATURENGS for publication do not charge any evaluation or application fee.

Responsibilities of Editors
The editor is responsible for deciding which of the articles submitted to the journal to be published. The editor evaluates the articles without taking into account the authors ' races, genders, sexual orientations, religious beliefs, ethnicities, citizenship, or political philosophies. The decision will be based on the importance, originality and clarity of the article, as well as its relevance to the validity of the work and the scope of the journal. Existing legal requirements regarding defamation, copyright infringement and plagiarism should also be considered.
The editor and any journal officer should not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the respective author, referees, potential referees, other editorial consultants, or publisher.
Unpublished materials described in a submitted article will not be used by the editor or editorial board members for their research purposes without the author's express written permission.

Responsibilities of Referees
The peer-review process assists the editor and the editorial board in making editorial decisions and can also serve the author in the development of the article.
Any referee who is not qualified to review the research reported in an article or who cannot immediately look at it must notify the editor and withdraw from the review process.
Articles submitted for review should be considered confidential documents. It should not be shared or discussed with others unless authorized by the editor.
Comments should be made objectively. Referees must express their views clearly with supporting arguments.
Referees must determine cases, where the relevant published work referred to in the article, is not mentioned in the reference section. They must specify whether observations or discussions from other publications accompany relevant sources. The referees shall inform the editor that there is a significant similarity or overlap between the evaluated article and other published articles with personal information.
Privileged information or ideas obtained through peer review should be kept secret and not used for personal advantage. Referees should not take into account articles that are competitive, collaborative or have conflicts of interest arising from their association with other authors, institutions or institutions affiliated with newspapers.


These principles are based on the directive on Scientific Research and Publication Ethics of Higher Education Institutions and the principles set by the COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) for Editors and Authors.

NATURENGS does not charge any fee from the authors for the articles it publishes. It is a free and open-access journal.
