EŞEK ARISI (Vespa sp.) ZARARLISINA KARŞI ARILIKLARDA KULLANILAN BAZI TUZAK VE YEMLERİN ETKİNLİKLERİNİN BELİRLENMESİ

Abstract

Eşek arılarından sarıca arı
olarak bilinen
Vespula germanica ve iri eşek arısı olarak bilinen Vespa orientalis L bal arıları gibi (Apis mellifera L)
sosyal yaşayan böceklerdir. Bu arılar, kendi yaşamları için gerekli olan hayvansal
kaynaklı protein (ergin arıları ve arı larvalarını) ve bitkisel kaynaklı
karbonhidratları (nektar ve bal) oluşturan gıda ihtiyaçlarını en fazla
bulabildikleri arı kolonilerine saldırarak karşılarlar.
Bu arılar, bu davranışları ile kolonilere büyük
zararlar vermektedirler. Arılıklardaki eşekarısı populasyonu
üzerine farklı tuzak ve yemlerin etkisini belirleme amaçlı bu çalışma,
İspir Hamza Polat Meslek Yüksek Okulu’na ait arılıkta 2012 yılında 3 farklı
tuzak (kafes tuzak, yapışkan tahta, plastik şişe) ile 4 farklı yem (ekşimiş
şerbet, balık, et, kavun) kullanılarak yürütülmüştür
. Araştırma sonucunda, plastik şişe tuzak ve
ekşimiş şerbet yem kombinasyonunun, arılıklardaki eşekarısı populasyonunu
kontrol altında tutmada en etkili yöntem olduğu belirlenmiştir.
