Research on the Concept of Modularity in Automotive Design

Öz

When we examine today's
products, it is seen that a large part is composed of components. Modularity is
found in most products. Designing modular products offers a number of
advantages. These advantages have also been recognized in the automotive
sector. Modularity is gaining increasing importance in manufacturing firms
recently; especially in auto industries. In this article, a general review of
the modularity will be made and applications in the automotive industry will be
discussed.

Otomotiv Tasarımında Modülerlik Kavramı Üzerine Araştırma

Öz

Günümüzdeki otomotiv tasarımında kullanılan ürünler incelendiğinde büyük bir bölümünün bileşenlerden oluştuğu görülür. Tamamı olmasa da çoğu modülerliği yansıtmaktadır. Modüler ürünleri tasarlamak birtakım avantajlar sağlar. Bu avantajlar
otomotiv sektöründe de fark edildi. Modülerlik, yakın zamanda imalat firmalarında
artan bir önem kazanmaktadır; özellikle otomobil endüstrisinde. Bu yazıda, modülerliğin genel bir incelemesi yapılıp otomotiv sanayindeki uygulamalar tartışılmaktadır.
