Öz

Stoma,
dünyada ve ülkemizde yaşamı kurtarmak ve yaşam kalitesini artırmak amacıyla sık
uygulanan cerrahi bir girişimdir. Çocuklarda stoma, birçok nedene bağlı olarak
oluşturulabilmektedir. Stoma çocuğun ve ailelerin yaşam kalitesini olumsuz
yönden etkileyerek büyük bir anksiyete kaynağı olabilmekte ve stomaya uyumunu
zorlaştırmaktadır. Çocuğun yaş dönem özelliklerine göre stomanın etkilerinin
bilinmesi stomaya yönelik hemşirelik bakımının planlanması ve uygulanmasında
yardımcı olacaktır.  Bu
makalede, çocuk sağlığı hemşirelerine stomalı çocuğa özgü bireyselleştirilmiş,
aile merkezli bakımda yol gösterici olması amaçlanmıştır.
