EXAMINATION OF PSYCHOSOCIAL INTERVENTIONS FOR CANCER PATIENTS OF NURSING STUDENTS FOLLOWING THE PROBLEM SOLVING TRAINING

Öz

Almost every day, nurses are faced with crisis of sick
individual's problems and psychosocial area. Nurses often must care for
patients with: Intense emotional responses to illness, personality styles that
make care difficult, psychiatric disorders, stresses and family problems that
affect patients’ reactions to illness or hospitalization. The ability to
recognize behaviors that evoke psychosocial problems and improve the ability to
manage them effectively both affects the treatment process of the patients positively
and ensures that the nurses are more satisfied. This study; It is planned to
examine the psychosocial interventions of nursing students after problem
solving education for cancer patients during the fall semester of 2015-2016 in
the fourth year of Ankara Yildirim Beyazit University Faculty of Health
Sciences Nursing Department. In the evaluation of the data, student care plans report
and patient education interview reports were examined. It has been seen that
the students can take nursing diagnosis of "inadequacy in individual
care" during the patient care process and plan nursing interventions using
the stages of problem solving skills in nursing intervention. At the end of the
clinical practice, the awareness of the fact that the ability of the students
to give proper information to the patient, to listen, to use the empathy skills
and to define the psychological needs of the patient person is positively
effect on the patient care process has been reached.

HEMŞİRELİK ÖĞRENCİLERİNİN KANSER HASTALARINA YÖNELİK PROBLEM ÇÖZME EĞİTİMİ SONRASI YAPTIKLARI PSİKOSOSYAL MÜDAHALELERİNİN İNCELENMESİ

Öz

                                                                      

 Hemen hemen hergün, hemşireler hasta bireylerin problemleri
ve psikososyal alana ilişkin krizler ile karşı karşıya kalabilmektedirler.
Hemşireler sıklıkla hasta bireylere; hastalığa yoğun duygusal tepkiler, bakımı
zorlaştıran kişilik özellikleri, psikiyatrik hastalılar ve hasta bireyin
hastalık veya tedavi sürecine yönelik tepkilerini etkileyen stresleri ve aile
problemleri alanında bakım vermektedirler. Psikososyal problemleri ortaya
çıkaran davranışları tanıma becerisi ve onları etkili bir şekilde yönetme
becerisi geliştirmek hem hastaların tedavi sürecini olumlu etkilemekte hem de
hemşirelerin daha fazla doyum almalarını sağlamaktadır. Bu çalışma 2015-2016
eğitim öğretim güz döneminde, Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt Üniversitesi Sağlık
Bilimleri Fakültesi Hemşirelik Bölümü dördüncü sınıf
öğrencilerinin kanser hastalarına yönelik problem çözme eğitimi
sonrası yaptıkları psikososyal müdahalelerinin incelenmesi  amacıyla planlanmıştır.
Klinik uygulamanın ilk günü öğrencilere problem
çözme becerisi eğitimi verilmiştir. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde öğrenci
bakım planları raporları ve hasta eğitim görüşme raporları incelenmiştir.
Öğrencilerin hasta bakım sürecinde “Bireysel baş etmede yetersizlik” hemşirelik
tanısını alıp hemşirelik müdahalesinde problem çözme becerileri aşamalarını
kullanarak hemşirelik girişimleri planlayabildikleri görülmüştür. Klinik
uygulamanın sonunda öğrencilerin hasta bireye uygun bilgi verme, dinleme,
empati becerilerini kullanabilme ve hasta bireyin psikolojik gereksinimleri
tanımlayabilme becerilerinin hasta bakım sürecinde olumlu etkisinin olduğuna
ilişkin farkındalıklarının geliştiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
