The Effect of Injection of Zinc-Glysine on Chick Performance and Mineral Accumulation in Some Tissues in Quail Hatching Eggs

Öz

This study was conducted to determine the effect of injection on
different levels of zinc to the quail hatching eggs on, performance, serum,
liver and bone minerals composition. In the study a total 400 quail hatching
eggs were distributed four experimental groups: NK as control non-injected, PK
as sham control received 0.2 ml diluents-injected, 20Zn was injected with
zinc-glysine at 20 µg zinc per egg, and 40Zn was injected with zinc-glysine at
40 µg zinc per egg. In each experiment group there were four replicates, and in
each replicates there were twenty five eggs. Sixty chicks from each treatment
were placed in growing cages for the purpose of determining its performance
parameters. During the growing period all treatment groups received quail basal
diet. The effect of treatment on carcass yield, some organ weights, body weight
gain, feed intake, feed conversion ratio, mortality, serum zinc, calcium and
phosphorus levels, liver phosphorus level and concentration of bone minerals
except calcium level were not significant. The serum magnesium level, liver
zinc, calcium and manganese levels, and bone calcium level in fifty week were
important in the treatments. The liver zinc and manganese concentrations were
significantly increased by 20 μg/egg zinc injection group, in comparison to
non-injected group. These results demonstrate that zinc injection at 20
µg/egg level to quail eggs
positively affects mineral accumulation in tissues.

Kuluçkalık Bıldırcın Yumurtalarına Çinko-Glisin Enjeksiyonunun Civciv Performansına ve Bazı Dokularda Mineral Birikimine Etkisi

Bu çalışma
kuluçkalık bıldırcın yumurtalarına farklı seviyelerde çinko enjeksiyonunun
performansa, serum, karaciğer ve kemik mineral kompozisyonuna etkisini
belirlemek için yürütülmüştür. Çalışmada 400 adet kuluçkalık bıldırcın
yumurtası; NK enjeksiyon yapılmayan kontrol, PK 0.2 ml seyreltici enjeksiyon
yapılan kontrol, 20Zn 20 µg/yumurta çinko seviyesinde çinko-glisin + 0.2 ml
seyreltici enjekte yapılan ve 40Zn 40 µg/yumurta çinko seviyesinde çinko-glisin
+ 0.2 ml seyreltici enjekte yapılan grup olacak şekilde dört muamele grubuna
dağıtılmıştır. Her muamele grubunda her birinde 25 yumurta bulunan 4 tekerrür
bulunmaktadır. Her muamele grubundan 60 adet civciv performans parametrelerini
belirlemek amacıyla büyütme kafeslerine konulmuştur. Büyütme periyodunda bütün
muamele gruplarına standart bıldırcın büyütme rasyonu verilmiştir. Muamelelerin
karkas randımanı, bazı organ ağırlıkları, canlı ağırlık artışı, yem tüketimi,
yemden yararlanma oranı, ölüm oranı, serum çinko, kalsiyum ve fosfor
seviyeleri, karaciğer fosfor seviyesi, kalsiyum hariç kemik mineral
seviyelerine önemli bir etkisi olmamıştır. Serum magnezyum seviyesi, karaciğer
çinko, kalsiyum ve manganez seviyeleri ve 5. hafta kemik kalsiyum seviyesi
muamele gruplarından önemli derecede etkilenmiştir. Kontrol grubuyla
karşılaştırıldığında 20 µg/yumurta çinko enjekte edilmesi ile karaciğer çinko
ve manganez seviyesi önemli derecede artmıştır. Bu sonuçlar bıldırcın
yumurtalarına 20 µg/yumurta seviyesinde çinko enjeksiyonunun dokularda mineral
birikimini olumlu etkilediğini göstermektedir.
