The purpose of this study is to examine the opinions of pre-service mathematics teachers on mathematical thinking and developing students’ on mathematical thinking. The study is a part of a comprehensive research conducted by using case study, which is one of the qualitative research methods. The participants of the study are four pre-service mathematics teachers studying in the final grade in an education faculty. The data of the study was collected through semi-structured interview form. Following the individual interviews, a group meeting was conducted. Data was analyzed using the content analysis. From data analysis it was determined that pre-service teachers agreed on being attentive in the subjects like making associations with daily life, problem solving and effective questioning in order to develop students’ mathematical thinking. In line with the results obtained some suggestions are presented.
