Kod Değiştirme İnançları Ölçeği: Bir Ölçek Geliştirme Çalışması

Öz

Bu araştırmanın amacı, üniversite hazırlık
sınıfı öğrencilerinin İngilizce derslerinde kod değiştirmeye ilişkin
inançlarını belirlemede kullanılabilecek bir ölçek geliştirmektir. Pilot
uygulama için oluşturulmuş 55 maddelik Kod Değiştirmeye İlişkin İnançlar Ölçeği
pilot formu açımlayıcı faktör analizi için Öğretmen Necla Kızılbağ Anadolu Lisesindeki
114 lise son sınıf öğrencisi, Yıldırım Beyazıt Üniversitesinde İngilizce
hazırlık eğitimi gören 192 öğrenci ve Yalova Üniversitesinde İngilizce Hazırlık
eğitimi gören 265 öğrenciye ölçeğin faktör yapısının belirlenebilmesi amacıyla uygulanmıştır
(n=571). Ölçeğin yapı geçerliği çalışmaları için uygu-ulanan doğrulayıcı faktör
analizi 587 üniversite hazırlık sınıfı öğrencisinden elde edilen veriler
üzerinden için gerçekleştirilmiştir. Analizler sonunda dört alt boyuttan oluşan
35 maddelik bir ölçek elde edilmiştir. Ayrıca, Kod Değiştirmeye İlişkin
İnançlar Ölçeğinin iç tutarlık güvenirlik katsayısı. .94 olarak bulunmuştur.

Code-Switching Beliefs Scale: A Scale Development Study

Öz

The aim of the present study is to develop a scale
to determine students’ code-switching beliefs in English classes. 55-item draft
form of the Code-switching Beliefs Scale which was formed for the pilot study
was administered to 114 senior students at Öğretmen Necla Kızılbağ Anatolian
High School, 192 preparatory school students at Yıldırım Beyazıt University and
265 preparatory school students at Yalova University for the exploratory factor
analysis to
determine the structure of the scale
(n= 571). The confirmatory factor analysis used to test the construct
validity of the scale was applied to 587 university preparatory school
students. At the end of the analyses, 35-item scale which includes four
different subscales was obtained. In addition, the Cronbach’s alpha value for
the scale was found to be .94.
