In this paper, the equations used to calculate the quantity of overburden that has to be removed and the required bucket capacity to achive yearly production in open pit mines are given. Also, a computer program which is used for selecting a suitable drag­line model for a calculated bucket capacity is deseribed and an example application is presented

Bu yazıda, açık işletmelerde yıllık üretim miktarını gerçekleştirebilmek için yapıl­ması gereken örtükazı miktarının ve gerekli kepçe kapasitesinin hesaplanmasında kul­lanılan eşitlikler yer almaktadır. Ayrıca, hesaplanan kepçe kapasitesine uygun çekme­kepçe (dragline) modelini seçmek amacıyla yazılmış olan bilgisayar programı tanıtıl­makta ve örnek bir uygulama verilmektedir
