Öz

Globalization and technological developments lead
to the change and transformation of the social structure. This change and transformation
also affect family unity, which is the smallest unit of the social structure.
Accordingly, the most significant effect is observed in increases in the number
of divorces. This situation negatively affects the fulfillment of family duties,
such as the protection of family unity, renewal of the population, and the
transfer of culture to future generations etc. In this context, it is very important
to identify the factors that hamper the continuity of family unity. In this study,
factors affecting divorce in Turkey are investigated by survival analysis using
Turkey Statistical Institute (TUIK)-2016 Family Structure Survey data. Besides the
effects of demographic and economic factors such as income, education, place of
residence and having children etc., the effects of gambling and betting games which
become popular with the use of the internet and the internet usage on the survival
of marriage are also investigated.

İlk Evlilik Süresini Etkileyen Faktörlerin Yaşam Analizi: Türkiye Örneği

Öz

Küreselleşme ve teknolojik
gelişmeler toplumsal yapının değişmesine ve dönüşmesine neden olmaktadır. Bu
değişim ve dönüşüm, toplumsal yapının en küçük birimi olan aile yapısını da
etkilemektedir. Buna bağlı olarak en belirgin etki, boşanma sayılarındaki
artışlarda gözlemlenmektedir. Bu durum ailenin, nüfusun yenilenmesi, kültürün
gelecek nesillere aktarımı vb. görevlerini yerine getirmesini olumsuz
etkilemektedir. Bu bağlamda aile yapısının devamlılığına engel olan faktörlerin
belirlenmesi önemli hale gelmiştir. Bu nedenle bu çalışmada Türkiye İstatistik
Kurumu (TÜİK) Aile Yapısı Araştırması 2016 verileri kullanılarak; Türkiye’de
boşanmayı etkileyen faktörler yaşam analizi ile araştırılmıştır. Gelir, eğitim,
yaşanılan yer ve çocuk sahibi olma gibi faktörlerin boşanma üzerindeki etkileri
incelenmiş, aynı zamanda internetin ve internet kullanımı ile yaygınlaşan kumar
ve bahis oyunları oynanmasının evlilik yaşamı üzerindeki olumsuz etkisine
değinilmiştir.
