Girişimsel Fırsat Tiplerinin Firma Büyüme Performansı

Öz

Entrepreneurial opportunities which are discovered and used by entrepreneurs, is one of the most important driving factors of the firm growth. Because firm growth emerging as a result of the discovery of the entrepreneurial opportunities. Therefore increasing the opportunities means increasing firm growth performance. However, the quality of the used opportunities diversifies firm growth performance. In this context, it is quite important to know how an entrepreneurial opportunity is understood and where does it come from. In this framework, the main purpose of the study is to demonstrate the entrepreneurial opportunity types and examine the impact of the entrepreneurial opportunity types on firm growth performance which are used in the manufacturing industry sector in Antalya, Burdur and Isparta provinces of the TR61 region. In this study, 633 firms that operating under the manufacturing sector in TR61 Region were examined. 315 of these firms are in Antalya, 134 of these firms are in Burdur and 184 of these firms are in Isparta. In this study, the growth performance of firm are discussed as the increase of firms' sales volume, cash flow, profit margin, employment level, investments and the recognition. Logit and odds ratio analysis were carried out to measure the effect on each dimension that defines the firm growth performance of entrepreneurial

GİRİŞİMSEL FIRSAT TİPLERİNİN FİRMA BÜYÜME PERFORMANSI ÜZERİNDEKİ ETKİSİ: TR61 BÖLGESİNDE BİR İNCELEME

Öz

Girişimciler tarafından keşfedilen ve kullanılan girişimsel fırsatlar firma büyümesinin en önemli itici faktörlerinden biridir. Çünkü firma büyümesi, girişimsel fırsatların keşfedilmesinin bir sonucu olarak ortaya çıkmaktadır. Dolayısıyla artan fırsatlar demek artan firma büyüme performansları demektir. Bununla birlikte kullanılan fırsatların niteliği, firma büyüme performanslarını farklılaştırmaktadır. Bu bağlamda girişimsel bir fırsatın nasıl anlaşıldığı ve nereden geldiğini bilmek oldukça önem arz etmektedir. Bu çerçevede çalışmanın temel amacı, TR61 Bölgesinde yer alan Antalya, Burdur ve Isparta illeri imalat sanayi sektöründe kullanılan girişimsel fırsat tiplerini ortaya çıkarmak ve girişimsel fırsat tiplerinin firma büyüme performansı üzerindeki etkisini incelemektir. Bu kapsamda çalışmada; TR61 Bölgesi imalat sanayi sektöründe faaliyet gösteren Antalya’dan 315, Burdur’dan 134 ve Isparta’dan 184 olmak üzere toplam 633 firma incelenmiştir. Çalışmada firma büyüme performansı; firmaların satış hacminin, nakit akışının, kar marjının, istihdam seviyesinin, yatırımlarının ve tanınırlığının artışı şeklinde ele alınmıştır. Girişimsel fırsat tiplerinin firma büyüme performansını tanımlayan her bir boyut üzerindeki etkisini ölçmek için logit analizi ile birlikte odds ratio analizi yapılmıştır. Araştırma bulgularına göre, TR61 Bölgesinde Schumpeteryen fırsatlardan çok Kirzneryen fırsatların kullanıldığı ve Schumpeteryen fırsatları kullanan firmaların firma büyüme performanslarını arttırma olasılığının daha yüksek olduğusonucuna ulaşılmıştır
