Öz

Bilgi iletişim teknolojileri ve buna bağlı olarak telekomünikasyon sektörü dünya genelinde büyük bir hızla gelişme göstermektedir. Literatürde konuya ilişkin yapılan teorik ve ampirik çalışmalardan, telekomünikasyon alanındaki yatırımların ekonomik büyüme üzerinde olumlu bir etkisi olduğu anlaşılmaktadır. Bu bağlamda çalışmanın amacı, telekomünikasyon yatırımları ile ekonomik büyüme arasındaki nedensellik ilişkisini ve telekomünikasyon yatırımlarının ekonomik büyümeye ilişkin katkısını ortaya çıkarmaktır. Bu çalışmada, literatürdeki çalışmalardaki yöntemlere paralellik gösterecek şekilde, OECD ülkelerinde telekomünikasyon sektöründeki yatırımların ekonomik büyüme üzerindeki etkisi panel veri yöntemi ile analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmanın panel veri sonuçlarına göre, telekomünikasyon yatırımlarının ekonomik büyüme üzerindeki etkisi olumludur ve uzun vadede her iki değişken arasında nedensellik ilişkisi vardır
