N2  - Acne is a chronic inflammatory disease of the pilosebaceous units. Because of its multifactorial etiology there are  different treatment alternatives. İsotretinoin which is a vitamin A derivative, is used quite often in the treatment of acne  vulgaris. İn this study, 111 patients were treated with isotretinoin, 14 with tetracycline. İts clinical response and also  adverse effects have been assessed. Complete remission was achieved in %95,4 of the patients treated by isotretinoin,  vvhile partial remission was observed in %57 of patients treated by tetracycline.
