THE INVESTIGATION ON THE EFFICIENCIES OF RESOURCE USAGE OF OECD COUNTRIES IN PRE- AND POST- OF THE 2008 GLOBAL CRISIS THROUGH PANEL DATA ENVELOPMENT ANALYSIS

Öz

Economic
growth is one of the important goals of the countries. The main objective of
economic growth and development is to increase resource utilization efficiency.
Indeed, resource efficiency is one of the most important components of sustainable
development. In order to observe the economic growth of OECD countries for the
2005-2010 period, Data Envelopment Analysis (VZA) and panel VZA models were
established based on Neo-Classical production function variables. Thus, Taking
into consideration the 2008 global crisis, it is being investigated that
countries are ineffective in resource usage because of their ineffective
administrative activity or being in disadvantageous situations. In addition,
before and after the 2008 crisis, the impact of the crisis on economic growth
is discussed separately.

Öz

Ekonomik
büyüme ülkelerin önemli amaçlarından biridir.
Kaynak kullanım etkinliğinin temel hedefi ise ekonomik büyüme ve
kalkınmadır. Nitekim kaynak kullanımında
etkinlik, sürdürülebilir kalkınmanın en önemli bileşenlerinden biridir.
Çalışmada, 2006-2016 dönemleri arasında OECD ülkelerinin ekonomik büyüme
etkinliklerini gözlemleyebilmek için Neo-Klasik üretim fonksiyon değişkenleri
baz alınarak, statik veri zarflama analizi (VZA) ve panel VZA modelleri
kurulmuştur. Böylece 2008 küresel krizi de göz önüne alınarak, ülkelerin
etkinsiz yönetimsel faaliyet göstermesinden mi yoksa dezavantajlı durum içerisinde
olmalarından dolayı mı kaynak kullanımında etkinsiz oldukları
araştırılmaktadır. Bunun yanısıra, 2008 krizi öncesi ve sonrası ayrı ayrı
değerlendirilerek krizin ekonomik büyüme üzerindeki etkisi tartışılmaktadır.
