Dr. Manik H Kalubarme is a post-graduate in Agriculture from G B Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, Pantnagar, Dist. Nainital (UP), India and also a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDIM) from IGNOU.
He is a Ph.D. in Environmental science from Uttarakhand Technical University UTU), Dehradun. He has submitted his Ph D Thesis on, “Development of Cotton Yield Models using Multi-Temporal Remote sensing, Soil and Agrometeorological Data in GIS Environment.
He joined the Space Applications Centre, Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), Dept. of Space, Ahmedabad during 1976 and worked on various projects related to “Remote Sensing Applications for Agriculture and Environment” for more than 34 years.
He has more than 60 publications in the National and International journals to his credit including a chapter in the Book.
He has also received many awards including a Team Excellence Award from ISRO in appreciation of contribution to the Indian space Programme for successfully implementing Remote Sensing Applications for Crop Acreage and Production Estimation Project.
He has also worked as Project Director in Bhaskaracharya National Institute for Space Applications and Geo-informatics (BISAG-N), Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MEITY), Government of India, Gandhinagar
Recognized Ph.D. guide of M.S. University, Baroda, and Gujarat University, Ahmedabad. 5-Ph.D. students are pursuing their research work under his guidance and more than 100 students of M.Sc., M.E., and M.Tech from various Universities have submitted their project dissertations under his guidance at BISAG-N.
