Analyzing Substrates with Waste Paper for Enhancing Water Capacity of Soil

This article focuses on the research of infiltration of created substrates with cardboard. The substrates were being created according to ČSN EN 14045 in the belt heaps for the period of 12 weeks. Upon the establishment of the substrate the moisture of the input material reached the range of 47…48 % and C: N ratio was in the range of 30 to 31:1. This article analyzes the infiltration of 4 created substrates. The substrate 1 did not contain any cardboard. Other substrates contained cardboard of various weight ratios. These kinds of studies are very important not only in point of view of waste utilization but also for their contribution to erosion control studies.
