Patients’ approach to alternative treatments has increased due to factors such as the expensiveness of the medical and surgical treatment used, the risky, the difficult accessibility for low and middle-income patients, and the greater confidence of people in natural methods. Although there are different methods in the treatment of heart attack in the world and in our country, research on alternative treatment has increased in many countries such as China and India, along with classical medical and surgical treatment. Among the alternative treatments, especially in many countries, especially in China, garlic, green tea, temple tree, licorice, cloves, ginger, St. John’s Wort, pomegranate juice and cranberry juice are used as blood thinners, cholesterol-lowering, anti-hypertension, anti-atherosclerosis in the treatment of heart attack. It has been concluded that complementary alternative treatment methods can be used in cases where conventional treatments are insufficient and under the control of a doctor.}, number={2}, publisher={Afyon Kocatepe University}
