For an appropriate weight a and a good range of α values, it is found that the proposed class of estimators is more efficient than some estimators which are obtained by applying congenial values of a and α. Comparison of the proposed class of estimators with other estimators is also worked out. Also the good range of α is obtained empirically for different values of a and k.
