The end of the Cold War period has allowed the ideological and single-centered foreign policy moves to progress pragmatically. Developing 8 (D-8), which is an example of non-Western based international organizations, is an Istanbul-based organization that has no particular political domination and covers more developing countries and prioritizes peace and justice. D-8 is a global structure in terms of geographical area as well as its basic principles and purposes, where the parameters such as population, economic potential, geopolitical location bring a great advantage. However, it is evaluated that it does not reach a suffici-ent level in terms of attracting its advantages to practice.
