Lenfositlerin aktivasyonu normalde doku savunması için gerekli bir olay olmasına rağmen B-lenfositle-rinin poliklonal aktivasyonu esnasında ortaya çıkan pek çok ürün, doku yıkımını hızlandırarak veya aktive ederek periodontal hastalıkların patogenezinde rol oynar. Bu makalede periodontalhastalıkların patogenezinde poliklonal B-lenfosit aktivasyonunun üzerinde durulmuştur. Key words: Polyclonal B-lymphocyte activation, pathogenesis of periodontal diseases.The role of lymphocytes and some molecules which are synthesized by these cells in the pathogenesis ofperiodontal diseases are well known. Lymphocytes are essential elements to define the host but some lymhocyte derived elements also activates tissue degredation. In this paper the role of polyclonal li lymhocyte activation is tried to be expressed.
