To this end, the study employed the case study design, one of the qualitative research methods and the data were collected by using the document analysis method. The documents used in the current study were comprised of Turkish written exams prepared for 4th graders in 2019-2020 and 2020-2021. In this context, descriptive analysis was conducted on 2797 questions belonging to 224 exams downloaded from the website www.egitimhane.com. The findings of the study have revealed that the 4th grade Turkish written exam questions did not demonstrate a balanced distribution across the listening, speaking, reading and writing skills in the Turkish lesson curriculum and across the learning outcomes for each language skill in the curriculum and that the questions were mainly focused on the learning outcomes regarding reading and writing skills. In addition, it was concluded that given the learning outcomes in the Turkish lesson curriculum, the use of these exam questions by teachers in the instructional processes would not serve the purpose of the evaluation of students within a certain framework and according to specific criteria as some of the content of the exams given in the website was not suitable for the 4th grade level and not related to the learning outcomes in the Turkish lesson curriculum.}, number={1}, publisher={Sabri SİDEKLİ}
