AB  - Toraks travmaları hayatı tehdit eden, hızlı tanı ve acil cerrahi tedavi gerekebilen yaralanmalardır. 34 yaşında erkek hasta iş kazası sonucu toraks yaralanması ile hastanemiz acil servisine getirildi. Acil servis resusitasyon odasındaki ilk muayenede sol hemitoraksa nafiz dev metal yabancı cisim görüldü. Hastanın vital bulguları kontrol altına alındıktan sonra acil toraks görüntülemesi yapıldı. Yabancı cismin intratorasik büyük damarlara yakınlığı, akciğer parankim hasarı ve buna bağlı hemopnömotoraks olması sebebiyle acil operasyona alındı. Bu yazıda penetran toraks yaralanmasına bağlı yabancı cisimlerdeki tanı ve tedavi yaklaşımımız sunulmaktadır.

N2  - Thoracic traumas are life-threatening injuries that require prompt diagnosis and immediate surgical treatment. A 34-year-old male patient was brought to the emergency department of our hospital with a thoracic injury as a result of a work accident. On the first examination in the emergency room resuscitation room, a giant metal foreign body was seen in the left hemithorax. After the patient's vital signs were under control, emergency thorax imaging was performed. He was taken to an emergency operation due to the proximity of the foreign body to the intrathoracic great vessels, lung parenchymal damage, and associated hemopneumothorax. In this article, our diagnosis and treatment approach in foreign bodies due to penetrating thoracic injury is presented.
