AB  - Amaç: Bu çalışma hemşirelerde bilişsel değerlendirme ve pozitif/negative duyguların merhamet yorgunluğu ile ilişki ve etki düzeylerinin belirlenmesi amacıyla yürütülmüştür.Gereç ve Yöntem: Çalışma bir kamu hastanesinde çalışan 316 hemşire ile yürütülmüştür. Verilerin toplanmasında, Kişisel Bilgi Formu, Merhamet Yorgunluğu-Kısa Ölçek (MY-KÖ), Pozitif-Negatif Duygu Ölçeği ve Bilişsel Değerlendirme Ölçeği (BDÖ) kullanılmıştır. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde tanımlayıcı istatistiksel yöntemler olarak sayı (n), yüzde (%), ortalama ve standart sapma (SD), değişkenler arasındaki ilişkiyi belirlemek için korelasyon testi ve çoklu regresyon analizi kullanılmıştır.Bulgular: Çalışma sonucunda hemşirelerde pozitif duygular ile merhamet yorgunluğu arasında negatif, birincil bilişsel değerlendirme ve negatif duygular ile merhamet yorgunluğu arasında ise pozitif bir ilişki olduğu saptanmıştır (p<0.05). Ayrıca birincil bilişsel değerlendirme ve negatif duyguların merhamet yorgunluğunun yordayıcısı olduğu belirlenmiştir.Sonuç ve Öneriler: Bu çalışma da bilişsel değerlendirme, negative duygular ve merhamet yorgunluğu arasında ilişki bulunmuştur. Bu bağlamda hemşirelere verilecek bilişsel yeniden yapılandırma olumlu düşünme, bilişsel ayrışma ve farkındalık gibi becerilerin kazandırılmasına yönelik danışmanlığın, merhamet yorgunluğu üzerine etkilerini inceleyen çalışmaların yapılması önerilmektedir.

N2  - Aim: This study was carriedout to determinet he relationship and interactionlevels of compassion fatigue and cognitive assessment and positive and negative emotions in nurses.Material and Method: The study was conducted with 316 nurses working in a public hospital. Personal Information Form, Compassion Fatigue-Short Scale (MY-CI), Positive-Negative Emotion Scaleand Cognitive Appraisal Scale (CAS) were used to collect data. Number (n), percentage (%), mean and Standard deviation (SD) were used as descriptive statistical methods in the valuation of the data. Correlation test was used to determine the relationship between variables. Multiple regression analysis was used for predictive evaluation.Findings: In our study, it was found that there was a negative relationship between positive feelings and compassion fatigue in nurses, and a positive relationship between primary cognitive evaluation and negative feelings and compassion fatigue (p<0.05). In addition, it was determined that primary cognitive evaluation and negative emotions were predictors of compassion fatigue.Conclusion: Inthisstudy, a relationship was found between cognitive appraisal, negative emotions, andcompassionfatigue. In this context, it is cognitive restructuring, positive thinking, cognitive dissociation and awareness to be given to nurses related with compassion fatigue.
