AB  - Gelir eşitsizliği, belirli bir dönemde bir ekonomide üretilen gelirin, ekonomik aktörler arasında adaletsiz veya dengesiz şekilde dağıldığı durumu ifade eder. Her dönem farklı şekillerde bulunan eşitsizlik, son yıllarda artış gösteren bir eğilime sahip bulunmakta, artan akademik merak dolayısıyla da literatür genişlemektedir. Bu alanda Kuznets’in değerlendirmeleri ile Tinbergen’in çalışmaları öncül nitelikte olup Piketty, Stiglitz ve Milanovic ise alanın önemli isimleridir. Branko Milanovic, küresel, bölgesel ve ülke içindeki gelir grupları arasındaki eşitsizlikleri incelemek için analitik yöntemlerin gelişmesine öncülük etmiş bir akademisyendir. Çalışmaları yoğunlukla eşitsizlik üzerine olan Branko Milanovic’in “Küresel Eşitsizlik: Küreselleşme Çağı İçin Yeni Bir Yaklaşım  eseri gibi "Kapitalizm Tek Başına-Dünyaya Hükmeden Sistemin Geleceği" başlıklı kitabı da bu alandaki önemli eserlerden birisidir. Gelir adaletsizliği ile kapitalizm arasındaki ilişkinin çok yönlü analiz edildiği bu eserin incelenmesi bu çalışmanın konusunu oluşturmaktadır.

N2  - Income inequality refers to a situation in which the income generated in an economy in a given period is unfairly or unevenly distributed among economic actors. Inequality, which has been found in different forms in different periods, has an increasing trend in recent years and the literature has been expanding due to increasing academic interest.  In this context, Kuznets' evaluations and Tinbergen's studies are pioneering in this field, while Piketty, Stiglitz and Milanovic are important names in the field. Branko Milanovic is an academic who has led the development of analytical methods to examine inequalities between income groups globally, regionally and within countries. Milanovic, whose work is mainly on inequality, is the author of "Global Inequality: A New Approach for the Age of Globalization" is one of the important works in this field, as is his book "Capitalism Alone - The Future of the System that Rules the World". The examination of this book, which analyzes the relationship between income inequality and capitalism from multiple perspectives, constitutes the subject of this study.
