AB  - “İstihbarat 101” adı, bir yandan kitabın akademik boyutunu vurgularken, diğer taraftan bir “giriş” kitabı olduğunu hatırlatıyor. Darıcılı’nın kaleme aldığı bu eser, Türkçe literatürde alanının öncüsü vasfını kazanmıştır demek pek de abartı olmaz. Türkiye’de istihbarat temalı pek çok kitap yazılmaktadır. Bunların bazıları akademisyenlerce ya da bilimsel hassasiyet sahibi yazarlarca yazılmıştır. “İstihbarat 101”in farkı ise istihbarat sektöründen gelen, istihbarat meslek memuru (İMM) olarak sahayı ve masa başını tecrübe etmiş bir ismin, akademisyen olarak ve akademik bir kitap olarak ilk kez böyle bir eseri kaleme almış olmasıdır.

N2  - While the title "Intelligence 101" emphasises the academic dimension of the book, it also reminds us that it is an "introductory" book. It would not be an exaggeration to say that this book, written by Darıcılı, is the pioneer of its field in Turkish literature. Many books on intelligence have been written in Turkey. Some of them have been written by academics or authors with a scientific sensibility. The difference of "Intelligence 101" is that it is the first time that a person who comes from the intelligence sector, who has experienced the field and the desk as a professional intelligence officer (IO), has written such a work as an academic and as an academic book.
