AB  - Bu çalışmanın amacı, Lillian Moller Gilbreth tarafından 1914 yılında  Macmillan Company Yayınevi tarafından yayınlanan “The Psychology Of Management”  başlıklı eserinin incelemesini sunmaktır. Bu bağlamda öncelikle yazarın özgeçmişi hakkında bilgi verilmiş, kitap bölümleri analiz edilmiş ve daha sonra kitabın yönetim bilimine katkısına yönelik değerlendirmelerde bulunulmuştur.  İncelenen kitabın Türkçe diline çevrilmiş basımı bulunmamaktadır. Kitap 244 sayfa sayısına sahiptir.  10 bölümden oluşan kitabın bölümleri şu şekildedir:yönetim psikolojisinin tanımı (desciption of the psychology of management), bireysellik (individuality), fonksiyonlaşma (functionalization), ölçme (measurement), analiz ve sentez (analysis and synthesis),standardizasyon (standardization), kayıt ve programlar (record and programmes), öğretim (teaching), teşvikler (incentives),  refah (welfare) bölümleridir.  Kitap, sahip olduğu içerik ve yapısı ile bilimsel yönetim alanına bütüncül bir çerçeve sunmaktadır. Bilimsel yönetimin temel ilkelerini açıklayarak, yönetim ilkelerinin ve uygulamalarının insan psikolojisinden bağımsız bir şekilde kurgulanmaması gerektiğini vurgulayan yazar, çağın çok ötesinde bir bakış açısı ile maliyetleri azaltarak verimliliğin artırılmasına yönelik önemli  bulgular ortaya koymaktadır. Bu bağlamda kitabın bilimsel yönetim yaklaşımı çerçevesinde ortaya koyduğu önermeler yönetim bilimine önemli katkılar sunmaktadır. Kitabın alana en önemli katkısı dönemin insanı ve insan psikolojisini arka plana atıp, onları bir makine gibi gören sisteme getirdiği eleştirisidir.

N2  - This study aims to present their view of the work titled “The Psychology of Management” published by the Macmillan Company publishing house in 1914 by Lillian Moller Gilbreth. In this context, firstly, information about the author's biography was given, book chapters were analyzed, and then evaluations were made about the contribution of the book to the science of management. There is no translated edition of the book in Turkish. The book has 244 pages. The chapters of the book, which consists of 10 chapters, are as follows: definition of the psychology of management, individuality, functionalization, measurement, analysis and synthesis, standardization, and recording. And programs, teaching, incentives, and welfare sections. With its content and structure, the book offers a holistic framework for the field of scientific management. Explaining the basic principles of scientific management and emphasizing that management principles and practices should not be constructed independently of human psychology, the author presents important findings to increase productivity by reducing costs with a point of view far beyond the age. It is thought that the study will be a guide for those who are interested in the field of industrial psychology and who want to work in the field of management and strategy.
