Bu sonuçlar incelendiğinde Zihinselleştirme Bazlı Terapi’nin Borderline Kişilik Bozukluğu için etkin bir tedavi olduğu söylenebilmektedir KW - Borderline Kişilik Bozukluğu KW - Zihinselleştirme KW - Zihinselleştirme Bazlı Terapi N2 - Borderline Personality Disorder; is characterized by severe imbalance in emotions, identity, relationships, and impulsive behaviors. One contributing factor to Borderline Personality Disorder is inadequate mentalization. Mentalization is our ability to understand the mental states of others and ourselves. Psychotherapies can be effective in reducing Borderline Personality Disorder symptoms but those have little effect. Therefore, innovative ways to improve existing treatments are important. Mentalization Based Therapy has been shown to reduce suicidal and self-harming acts, depressive symptoms, and the number of inpatient days, and improve social and interpersonal functioning in individuals with Borderline Personality Disorder. The purpose of document analysis is to analyze all studies examining the effectiveness of Mentalization Based Therapy on Borderline Personality Disorder. While the articles were found, the keywords "Borderline Personality Disorder and Mentalization Based Therapy" were written together. All articles investigating the effectiveness of Mentalization Based Therapy on Borderline Personality Disorder were examined by making use of Science Direct, Pubmed and Google Scholar databases and international journals. Document analysis, which is a qualitative research method, was used as a data collection method. 41 articles were included in the study. When the results of 29 articles comparing the efficacy of Mentalization Based Therapy in Borderline Personality Disorder treatment with other therapies or its own varieties were examined, there were 14 articles proving the effectiveness of Mentalization Based Therapy and 8 articles showing that Mentalization Based Therapy had equal effectiveness with other therapies. When these results are examined, it can be said that Mentalization Based Therapy is an effective treatment for Borderline Personality Disorder.
