KW - COVID-19 KW - çocuklar KW - psikososyal etki N2 - Throughout 2020, since the first day it appeared, COVID-19 infection psychosocially affected children as well as adults. Schools, kindergartens, special education centers and all areas where children can socialize are closed all over the world. Children generally had to spend time and study in the home environment. In line with these conditions, the interaction with the environment, which has a supporting effect on the children’s development, was also restricted. In children who stay at home, their anxiety about being affected by the changes in their socioeconomic status, catching infection or losing a relative has increased. Besides, children often had difficulties in accessing routine health services. Children’s psychosocial development is adversely affected due to these conditions in the pandemic process. Eliminating these negative effects is an important task of the children’s immediate environment, their family, healthcare professionals and governments.
