Bu dişlerin %45’i gömülü maksiller kanin ve %55’i gömülü mandibular M3 idi. Age, gender, type, location, and position of the impacted tooth and the presence/absence and severity of the ERR were recorded. ERR was categorized into four classes: no resorption, mild, moderate, and severe resorption. The localization of ERR was expressed as cervical, middle, apical third of the root and as more than 1/3.RESULTS: In this study, a total of 480 impacted maxillary canines and mandibular M3 teeth were examined in 407 patients. 45% were impacted maxillary canines, and 55% were mandibular M3 teeth. ERR was detected in 47.3% of the patients in the teeth associated with the impacted teeth. There was no significant difference between the presence of ERR and gender (p=0.071, p>0.05), age range (p=0.784, p>0.05), type of impacted tooth (p=0.591, p>0.05), localization (p=0.383, p>0.05) and position (p=0.144, p>0.05) groups of impacted maxillary canine teeth (p=0.041, p<0.05). It was observed that mandibular M3 teeth in the horizontal position caused more ERR (p<0.05). It was determined that most impacted teeth caused Class 1 severity (p=0.047, p<0.05) ERR localized at the middle of the root (p<0.001).CONCLUSIONS: The incidence of ERR in the teeth associated with impacted maxillary canine and mandibular M3 teeth was 47.3%. It was determined that impacted mandibular M3 teeth in the horizontal position caused more ERR in the adjacent teeth. CR - Padhye MN, Dabir AV, Girotra CS, Pandhi VH.
