For suspicion of disease spread, the patient was planned to undergo an f-18 labeled fluorodeoxyglucose (F18 FDG) positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) scan. The FDG PET/CT scan showed that the diffuse linear FDG uptake in the spinal cord increased from L1 to L5.
