The research involved 407 college women aged between 18-35. The exploratory factor analysis (EFA) revealed a two-factor structure of the Turkish adaptation (BCBS-E = external/appearance qualities of beauty and BCBS-I = internal qualities of beauty). Confirmatory factor analysis supported the two-factor structure, yet three items were identified for potential removal due to their low factor loadings (all ≤ .30). The convergent validity analysis showed that external beauty perception (BCBS-E) was positively correlated with body appreciation and negatively associated with internalization of weight bias; however, internal beauty perception (BCBS-I) did not show significant correlations with validation measures. The reliability of the scale was indicated by the high internal consistency coefficient. These findings offer insights into the cultural adaptation of the BCBS and are useful for researchers and practitioners interested in assessing the broad conceptualization of beauty in the Turkish context.}, number={78}, publisher={Turkish Psychological Counseling and Guidance Association}, organization={Bahcesehir University, University of Potsdam}
