For the development of practice-oriented skills, various resources, tools, methods and techniques should be used and learners should be given the opportunity to benefit from them. It is thought that the use of different resources, tools, methods and techniques in the development of reading skills will improve learners’ reading fluency skills in a foreign language. Reading fluency is the ability to read a text quickly and to understand what is read correctly. In the researches conducted to improve reading fluency, various suggestions are offered to improve learners’ reading fluency skills. One of these suggestions is the use of podcasts. In the literature, there are studies on the use of podcasts in developing learners’ reading fluency skills in Turkish as a mother tongue education. However, there is no study on this subject in teaching Turkish as a foreign language. In teaching Turkish as a foreign language, learners have difficulty in reading fluency because they encounter different language structures and sounds. For this reason, there is a need to improve learners’ reading fluency skills in teaching Turkish as a foreign language. In this study, the effect of podcast use on learners’ reading fluency skills in teaching Turkish as a foreign language was determined. The effect of podcast use on learners’ reading accuracy, reading speed and prosodic reading was investigated. The study was conducted using a single-subject experimental design; the experimental group consisted of 2 learners who learn Turkish as a foreign language at B2 level and have difficulty in reading fluency. Data collection tools were personal information form, texts, researcher’s podcasts and learners’ reading records. The data collection process lasted for 7 weeks and 25 hours in total. The data were analyzed with the reading accuracy formula, reading speed formula and prosodic reading scale. As a result of the study, it was seen that the use of podcasts improved reading accuracy, reading speed and prosodic reading skills, and especially had a lasting effect on prosodic reading skills.}, number={246}, publisher={Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı}
