TY - JOUR T1 - Hekim Göçü Bağlamında Göçmen Hekimlik Çalışmalarının Bibliyometrik Analizi: Web of Science Örneği TT - A bibliometric analysis of studies on migrant physician in the context of physician migration, using the web of science database AU - Kaya, Tuğçe AU - Alkan, Ahmet PY - 2025 DA - September Y2 - 2025 DO - 10.37989/gumussagbil.1558465 JF - Gümüşhane Üniversitesi Sağlık Bilimleri Dergisi JO - Gümüşhane Sağlık Bilimleri Dergisi PB - Gumushane University WT - DergiPark SN - 2146-9954 SP - 1020 EP - 1035 VL - 14 IS - 3 LA - tr AB - Son zamanlarda gerçekleşen beyin göçlerinde “hekim beyin göçünün” artış gösterdiği ve bu durumun bilimsel araştırmalara konu edinildiği gözlenmektedir. Araştırmanın kapsamını Web of Science (WoS) akademik veri tabanındaki çalışmalar oluşturmaktadır. KW - Bibliyometrik analiz KW - Göçmen hekim KW - Hekim beyin göçü KW - Yabancı hekim N2 - It has been observed that there has been an increase in the phenomenon of 'physician brain drain' in recent times. This situation has been the subject of scientific research. Nevertheless, bibliometric studies aimed at identifying the trends of scientific research on physician migration and migrant medicine have yet to be conducted. In this context, the principal objective of the research is to conduct a comprehensive examination of the literature on migrant medicine within the context of physician migration, employing a bibliometric analysis technique. The research encompasses studies retrieved from the Web of Science (WoS) academic database. The data were analysed using the VOSviewer visual network programme. A total of 197 article studies were included in the scope of the analysis, following the application of language (English) and document (article, review article) limitations through the use of the keywords "physician migration" and "migrant medicine" in the search process. The analysis revealed that the keywords "physician migration," "brain drain," and "migration" were repeated more frequently in the studies proposed by a total of 203 different authors. The most cited work was the study titled "The Metrics of The Physician Brain Drain," with 541 citations. Additionally, the United States (91) had the highest number of publications. The findings of this study will contribute to the creation of new and up-to-date themes for future research, in addition to determining the status of the concepts of physician migration and migrant medicine in the existing literature.
