This study was conducted for the first time and aimed to determine the effect of MP use on insulin resistance.Material and Methods: 58 men, 25 MP users and 33 control groups were included in the study. For the study, 5 ml of venous blood was collected from the subjects and serum glucose(mg/dL), total cholesterol(mg/dL), triglycerides(mg/dL), and HDL(mg/dL) were measured via Cobas 6000 series c 501 clinical Biochemistry analyzer. Homeostasis Model Assesment-Insulin Resistance (HOMA-IR) method was used to evaluate insulin resistance.
