In our patient with a long history of intensive care unit hospitalization, diabetes mellitus as a comorbidity, and a history of broad-spectrum antibiotic use; C.auris was isolated from blood cultures by both MALDI-TOF MS and Sanger sequencing method. Antifungal susceptibility was determined by liquid microdilution method and intravenous caspofungin treatment was first given to the patient and intravenous liposomal amphotericin B treatment was initiated when C.auris was grown again in the blood cultures. Although C.auris eradication was achieved on the 77th day of antifungal treatment and 27th day of amphotericin B treatment, the patient died with septic shock due to panresistant Providencia stuartii infection. Our case is the first reported case from Konya and clinicians should be cautious against C. auris cases with multidrug resistance which may lead to outbreaks in intensive care units.}, number={4}, publisher={Selcuk University}
