This article addresses the importance of integrating food processing education at each level of a curriculum in order for the consumers to be knowledgeable about issues concerning food safety, nutrition, and environmental impact. It follows that education can be a bridge between industrial practices and consumer behavior, increasing awareness on methods of processing, reduction of waste, and efficient use of resources. Beyond that, education on sustainable food processing will develop informed choices for healthier lifestyles and contribute to global efforts in reducing the ecological footprint of food production.
