Sonuçlar, çocuklarda Kazein fosfopeptit-amorf kalsiyum fosfat içeren probiyotik pastilin ağız sağlığını destekleme potansiyeline sahip olabileceğine işaret etmektedir KW - : Kazein fosfopeptid-amorf kalsiyum fosfat KW - probiyotikler KW - tükürük N2 - This double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled clinical trial aimed to evaluate the effects of Casein phosphopeptide-amorphous calcium phosphate containing probiotic lozenges on various salivary parameters, including flow rate, volume, consistency, pH, and buffering capacity. A total of 40 children, aged 8-13, participated in the study and were randomly assigned to either the treatment or placebo group. The treatment group received Casein phosphopeptide-amorphous calcium phosphate containing probiotic lozenges for 56 days, while the placebo group received placebo lozenges without active ingredients. Salivary flow rate, consistency, pH, and buffering capacity were assessed using the Saliva-Check BUFFER kit at baseline and after 56 days. Descriptive statistics, independent and paired t-tests, Chi-square tests, and Mc Nemar tests were employed for analysis, with statistical significance set at p<0.05. Results indicated a statistically significant increase in both salivary flow rate and pH in the treatment group compared to the placebo group at the end of 56 days (p<0.05). However, no significant changes were observed in buffering capacity, volume, or consistency between the two groups (p>0.05). These findings suggest that Casein phosphopeptide-amorphous calcium phosphate containing probiotic lozenges may have potential in supporting oral health in children.
