AB  - Bu araştırma LGBTI seks işçilerinin toplum içerisinde çeşitli alanlarda karşılaştıkları güçlükleri ve sorunları belirleyerek bunların çözümüne sosyal hizmet bakış açısıyla katkı sağlamak amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışmaya, Ankara’da bulunan Kırmızı Şemsiye Cinsel Sağlık ve İnsan Hakları Derneği aracılığıyla Mart 2024-Mayıs 2024 tarihleri arasında kartopu tekniği ile ulaşılan  15 gönüllü LGBTİ seks işçisi katılmıştır. Çalışmada nitel araştırma yöntemi kullanılmış olup, veriler derinlemesine görüşme tekniği ile elde edilmiştir. Katılımcıların  deneyimlerini daha derinlemesine anlamak amacıyla nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden yorumlayıcı fenomenolojik analiz kullanılmıştır. Çalışma bulgularına göre cinsiyet kimliği, cinsel yönelim  ve seks işçiliğinin kesişimselliği, toplumsal normlar ve önyargılar, katılımcıların deneyimlerini güçleştirmektedir. Katılımcılar, cinsel yönelimini keşfetme sürecini, kişisel deneyimler ve toplumsal baskılar tarafından şekillenen, genellikle sosyal dışlanma korkusuyla geciktirilen veya gizlenen bir süreç olarak tanımlamaktadırlar. Barınma, istihdam, eğitim ve sağlık gibi alanlarda yaşanan ayrımcılık, bu bireyleri daha da marjinalleştirmekte ve pek çoğunu hayatta kalma stratejisi olarak seks işçiliğine yönlendirmektedir. Çalışmada şiddet önemli bir sorun olarak öne çıkmış, birçok katılımcı müşterilerinden ve toplumdaki diğer insanlardan fiziksel ve psikolojik şiddete maruz kaldığını aktarmıştır. Sosyal destek ağları katılımcıların sorunlarına karşı dayanıklılık geliştirmelerinde önemli bir yerde dururken, aile desteği değişkenlik göstermektedir. Çalışma yasal korumanın, LGBTI seks işçilerini etkileyen eşitsizlikleri ele almada yetersiz kaldığını göstermektedir. Sonuç olarak LGBTI seks işçilerinin yaşam koşullarını ve haklarını iyileştirmek için kapsamlı sosyal hizmet müdahaleleri, kapsayıcı politikalar ve yasal reformlar önerilmektedir. Eşitlik ve toplumsal kabulün gerçekleşmesinde yapısal ayrımcılığın ele alınmasının önemi vurgulanmaktadır.

N2  - This study was conducted to identify the difficulties and problems faced by LGBTI sex workers in various areas within the society and to contribute to their solution from a social work perspective. The study was conducted with the participation of 15 volunteer LGBTI sex workers who were reached through the Red Umbrella Sexual Health and Human Rights Association in Ankara between March 2024 and May 2024 using the snowball technique. Qualitative research method was used in the study and the data were obtained through in-depth interviews. Interpretative phenomenological analysis, one of the qualitative research methods, was used to understand the experiences of the participants in more depth. According to the findings of the study, the intersectionality of gender identity, sexual orientation and sex work, social norms and prejudices complicate the experiences of the participants. Participants describe the process of discovering their sexual orientation as a process shaped by personal experiences and social pressures, often delayed or hidden due to fear of social exclusion. Discrimination in areas such as housing, employment, education and health further marginalizes these individuals and leads many of them to sex work as a survival strategy. Violence was highlighted as a significant problem in the study, with many participants reporting physical and psychological violence from clients and others in the community. While social support networks are important for participants to develop resilience against their problems, family support varies. The study shows that legal protection is insufficient to address inequalities affecting LGBTI sex workers. In conclusion, comprehensive social work interventions, inclusive policies and legal reforms are recommended to improve the living conditions and rights of LGBTI sex workers. The importance of addressing structural discrimination in realizing equality and social acceptance is emphasized.
