The decision to maintain close relations with Western countries, especially the United States, which was initiated with the end of World War II, was continued by supporting the call of the USA/UN as soon as the Korean War broke out. In this direction, this study analyzed Türkiye’s decision to participate in the Korean War in the axis of the developments in its foreign policy and the direction of this decision in the international dimension through the news in the international media. For this purpose, archival sources and periodicals accessed through documentary scanning method were used, and nearly two thousand documents in the Archives of the History of the Republic and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs were examined. In the light of the documents examined, the positive and negative reflections of the decision taken in the international dimension were discussed. The fact that the decision was intensely discussed in domestic politics and reverberated in the international media for a long time reveals the importance of the issue.}, number={1}, publisher={Mus Alparslan University}
