This study situates itself within the fields of migration sociology and social psychology, with a particular focus on Integrated Threat Theory, Social Identity Theory, and Competition Theory as theoretical foundations. These frameworks help explain how perceptions of immigrants can generate fear, hopelessness, and social tension among youth. This study aims to examine the impact of young people’s attitudes toward immigrants on their future concerns, focusing on university students in Türkiye, particularly in the TRA1 region (Erzurum, Erzincan, Bayburt). Field research indicates that negative attitudes toward immigrants significantly predict fear and hopelessness about the future. Moderator analysis further reveals that gender, age, employment status, city of residence, and education level influence the strength of this relationship. Specifically, these effects are more pronounced among women, non-working students, younger individuals, and students in smaller cities. By combining sociological and psychological perspectives, this research deepens our understanding of the psychosocial dynamics of immigration in non-border regions. The findings contribute to the migration literature by showing that even in areas with limited immigrant populations, negative attitudes strongly shape youth’s future perceptions.}, number={104}, publisher={Erzurum Kültür Eğitim Vakfı}
